Sharing Recess Revo at Children Playground!

We cannot stop when God is moving! Today we shared Recess Revo in a children’s playground. Darren and I were sharing to the afternoon school students from SMJK Heng Ee, Kean Chan and Daniel Wong. This meeting was arranged by Kean Chan.

Because of the place, we had to do our presentation through papers which we printed the slides on. Initially, Daniel was unsure of what Recess Revo is all about. But after hearing through the entire presentation and hearing what God is doing in schools, he began to see that he could use this movement as a tool to reach out to his non-Christian friends and bring them to Christ.

After about 40 minutes of presentation, we prayed for the both of them at the playground and asked them to kick start Recess Revo in the afternoon session in their school. I could see that the Holy Spirit is taking us to places that we could never imagined, e.g. at the playground. We just want to give all glory to God for the way He move and His works to be done! Me & Darren was so happy, that we just do what the Holy Spirit want us to do! We will go where God want us to go! Amen!

Recess Revo Updates #3

What's up, all the heroes and heroins of Recess Revolution! We want to thank God that Recess Revolution has been kick started in SK Bukit Gelugor. This is the first primary school that has kick started Recess Revo and we want to believe God for more open doors!
This week, we were at SK Ayer Itam and they are also excited about starting Recess Revolution. Recess Revo is spreading like a wildfire in this island and if you're not part of it, do join us in this movement. Recess Revolution is not only a movement, it's a statement.
We are also on YouTube now so do check on it for more information. Here's a video about Wildfire@RR P.A.R.T.Y and the vision of Recess Revolution in Penang.

Remember, continue to watch and pray as you all are doing this. There will be discouragements on the way but we have to be strong for God because we can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us. Here's an inspiring story about a donkey and a farmer.

"Once there was a donkey that fell in to an old empty well. The farmer, who owns the donkey, looked at the beast and tried to figure how to get it out of there. Having thought of nothing to get the donkey out of the well, he decided to simply bury his donkey alive!
So the farmer called his neighbors to shovel dirt into the well. At first the donkey got frightened and panicked. After some time the beast realized that if he shakes the dirt of his back, the ground under him gets higher. He continued to shake the dirt off and step up until the well was full. I will leave to your imagination what the donkey did to the farmer and his neighbours when he got out of the well."

Many times we feel life is throwing dirt at us. Problems seem to hit us at all directions. Even when you feel everything is OK, suddenly dirt smacks you in the face. Sometimes you can even feel the bitterness of the dirt! There are others who not only feel that dirt is being thrown at them, but feel that they are being buried alive. Their problems seem pile to up from one to the next, until their problems are bigger than they are. They feel like all the world’s trash is being poured out on to them.
But we can use this dirt. We can use life’s problems and troubles to produce strength, wisdom, perseverance, patience and other virtues in us that will help us succeed in life. The dirt thrown at you can be use to increase your stature, your being.
We should imitate the donkey. Instead of giving up and letting himself be buried, he shook the dirt of off him. We too should learn to shake our problems and step on it. And like the donkey we will get out of the hole we are in.

So do not give up when you are facing problems or discouragement as you are doing Recess Revolution. When God is on your side, victory is on your side! We don't have to be the best in what we do, we just need to do our best!

SMK Ayer Itam for Jesus!

We had a blast Friday in SMK Ayer Itam! This was like walking into China. The reason I said that is we didn’t now that the CF was conducted in Mandarin. 54 students turned up for CF. After they worship they hand over the time to me say Pastor your time now! I began to share in English and Alvin was interpreting it into Mandarin. Then, when the time came for Darren to share, he shared the next few slides in Mandarin. Wah, it was so cool when we just rest in the Holy Spirit! Hahaha.

As we were sharing, all of us were depending in the Holy Spirit to guide us and hoped that the young people grasp what is Recess Revo all about. All of them were so glued to us and they understood what we shared. As a crew, we knew that without the Holy Spirit, we won't be able to do it. But at the end of the sharing, I knew that the Holy Spirit was there with us throughout the time we were sharing with them.

After the presentation and sharing was over, I prayed for the whole CF and the teacher advisor, asking for God’s blessing and favour to be upon them as they kick start Recess Revo. We managed to speak to the CF president and vice president, and the teacher advisor too. They were so fired up and they want to start Recess Revo in their school. According to Miss Khoo, she will discuss with the CF committee and they will choose a particular day to run Recess Revo. She also invited us to come again in the future to share the Word of God in the CF.

We praise God because we knew that this school has already begun to catch the fire of Recess Revo. As we walked out from the school, as usual, we prayed again and claimed the school for Jesus. We want to give all glory and honour back to the Lord God Almighty for what He has done in SMK Ayer Itam!

2 Angels from Phor Tay High School Started Recess Revo!‏

I wanna praise God for these two angels, Joanna Mak and Shu Shian who have started Recess Revo in their school. Phor Tay High School is actually a Buddhist school and the school authorities do not allow any other religious societies to run in the school. But I praise God for these two girls who were courageous enough to start Recess Revo after they’ve heard about this movement.

As usual, myself and Darren have spoken to them, encouraged and challenged them to make a difference in their school. I praise God for last Saturday, 18th July after my message in the youth service at EPCC, they came forward for prayer and they are willing to stand in the gap to pray for their school.

Joanna will lead a Recess Revo team in the morning session and she has already started it with some of her Christian friends. Shu Shian who is just a one and half a month old believer, will be leading another team in the afternoon session.

I’m just moved and touched by these two girls who are going to move and change their school for Jesus through prayer. Let’s keep them in prayer and encourage my two heroes!

First Primary School Started RR in SK Bukit Gelugor!‏

Jeremy Sean, an 11 year old boy, from Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Gelugor is the first primary school which has kick started Recess Revo in Penang Island. When I look at this young man, he reminds me of David and I believe God is going to use him mightily to impact his friends and school through Recess Revo.

After hearing all the testimonies about what God is doing in other schools through Recess Revo, he came forward to me and said, “Koko Praggy, I want to start Recess Revo in my school.” I then encouraged him to start by prayer, to just Stand UP in the gap and pray for his school because I believe that one person can make a difference.

Just a few days ago, I was speaking to his father who is Ps Sam Surendran, my senior pastor. He told me that every morning, both he and his son, Jeremy pray together as he drops him off at school. They also went around the school in the morning collecting rubbish for a start to do something in the school. I was very encouraged when I heard about this and I know that Jeremy will definitely make a difference in his school.

So, let us support Jeremy in prayer, that this fire which began in him will keep burning for God. All glory to Jesus for using him even at such a young age!

Step up in PRAYER and GET INTO the WORD of GOD

Step up in PRAYER and GET INTO the WORD of God
For the next 1 – 2 weeks, continue your “Retreat” in order to sharpen your axe i.e. remain on the CUTTING EDGE! Step up in PRAYER and GET INTO the WORD of God. Meanwhile, your team can also plan for your next month’s RR, as you learn to increase in being sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Also make allowance for those whom God has placed over your lives to trust to do the sharpening.
Pray specifically, together as a RR team, for a renewed spirit towards your RR and School, so that you’re ready to be sent out when God calls. Focus on being fully charged up to be able to spread the passion of RR and the love of Jesus anytime, anywhere - when the opportunity arises! This way, you’ll always be on the cutting edge.

Recess Revo Updates #2

Hey Recess Revo champions! Hope you guys are keeping the fire burning for Jesus!
This week, we have Phor Tay High School which has started a prayer group. Praise God for that because Phor Tay High School is actually a Buddhist school but we have people that are bold and they want to see their school changed for Jesus.
One girl was also saved during the Recess Revo sharing to the students of St.George's Girls' School in McDonalds Greenlane. We don't have to lead people to Christ anymore, it's time to lead Christ to people through the love of God. God is working mightily in this island and we're seeing more young people rising up and making a positive statement in their schools.

It's also great to hear that there are young working adults who have already started what they called Office Revolution. Soon, we pray to see them making a difference in their work place and being the lighthouse for Jesus.
When revival takes place, it's not only the young people who are in the wave but we have other generations coming behind us to support us as well. We are ONE body and ONE family in God's kingdom.

We are also having a special event called Wildfire@RR P.A.R.T.Y happening on the 22nd August at Methodist Boys School from 9am to 12.30 pm. Come together as we share testimonies about Recess Revo and to catch up with what is happening among all the schools in this island. There will be worship, performances, testimonies and a message as well. You wouldn't want to miss this out because it's going to be exciting!
For more info, do contact Pragas @ 012.4888479 or send us an e-mail at recessrevopg@gmail.com
Do respond to the event in Facebook here. See you there!

Guess what? After sharing Recess Revo to St Georges Girl's, one girl gave her life to JESUS!!! Thank you Holy Spirit!!!‏

We want to thank McD Greenlane for allowing us to use their premises once again to share about Recess Revo to school students. Two weeks ago, we were at there sharing to SMK Heng Ee students and today, we are sharing to St George’s Girls School (SGGS), simply because we are not allowed to conduct any religious talks in the school.

As usual, as myself and Darren were on the way to McD, we were praying and asking God for His strength to speak to the girls, and we were praying for salvation too. At about 1pm, the girls arrived. There were 6 of them and one of the girls was a non-believer who was interested about Recess Revo. Darren and I began to share to them what God is doing in Schools in Penang Island.

After the presentation was over, the CF president who was present decided to run Recess Revo every Wednesday. As the session came to a close, I prayed for them and endorse officially Recess Revo in their school. The girls then left to their homes.

Becky and Ying Ying stayed back for a time of Q&A. Ying Ying (non-believer) had questions about Christ. At the same time, she had so much fear within her of accepting Jesus as her personal Lord and Saviour. I took time to share with her about my experience as a believer and being the only person in the family who accepted God. I also encouraged her through the Word of God. In my spirit, I knew that she was ready to receive Jesus. So, I began to challenge her to receive Him. At that very moment, she said YES! Hallelujah! I led her into the sinner’s prayer and we prayed for her. We want to praise God for Ying Ying who gave her life to Jesus today. All glory and honour to Jesus!

As we were in McD and having our lunch, the Heng Ee students, John and Daniel also came. Then, we met up with Methodist Boys School (MBS) CF president, Samuel and vice president, Deborah for lunch too. We had a great time just chatting and having fellowship with one another. It’s so cool to see students from different schools coming together for a meal.

Thank you for this Great day Lord! Bless you!

Recess Revo Stickers all over Him :)‏

I want to praise God for this guy called John. He is so on fire for Jesus and he could not stop telling about God’s love to all of his friends. Two weeks ago, I met him together with Julian and Daniel to kick start Recess Revo in their school, SMK Heng Ee. After they have officially started on Monday, and by Thursday, John had already led a friend to Christ. I see such a passion within him to spread the Good News in his school.

When I saw him today with his school bag and water tumbler at McD, the Recess Revo stickers were all over his belongings. He’s just so crazy with what God is doing in his life through Recess Revo and using it to share Christ to his non-Christian friends. I pray that many more people like him will Show Up, Stand Up and Speak Up for Jesus. We just want to give glory to God for this young man, Amen!

Youth Pastors meeting at Old Town café :)‏

It's so good to have casual meetings out of our own churches. Me and Darren met up with 3 youth Pastors, Ps. Victor from FGA, Ps. Thomas from RGBC and Ps. Danial from GBC, to talk about Recess Revo. We had breakfast together and I started sharing to them about Recess Revo.

After sharing to the group, they begin to see what God is doing in Penang Island through schools. They have heard about Recess Revo from their youths and from Ps. Andy himself too. After two and a half hours of chatting and sharing to them on the Recess Revo slides, the pastors begin to see how YouthWave Penang can tag alongside with regards to Recess Revo. There were so much of positive planning and opportunities where YouthWave can tag alongside Recess Revo as a channel to help and bless the CF in Schools!

Towards the end, Danial was requesting me to partner Recess Revo together with YouthWave Penang, and use it as a platform for Penang youth pastors to adopt some CFs to support them. We will be meeting again soon to talk, strategize and work even more on Recess Revo and YouthWave. Amen!

Praying for USM to start Campus Revo!

Today, I want to praise God that we managed to meet up with the CF president and vice president of USM, Penang. We thank God for Sister Florence for speaking to them about Recess Revo. Through her, we managed to share to both of them.

We had a very short presentation and sharing with them, about 20 minutes. According to them, they will talk to their CF committee and inform us later of a time and date to step in and share about Recess Revo to the whole cf in USM, before officially kick starting Campus Revo. We give all glory to God for another opportunity to share about Recess Revo to campus students.

Recess Revo Updates #1

Thank God that we have 17 schools and 1 campus being a part of Recess Revolution in the past 4 weeks! We are believing God for more open doors and God is definitely opening a lot of doors for us. It is not for our glory but it is for Him alone! We must always remember why are we doing this because God is not interested in what you are doing but He is interested in why you are doing it.

It's going to be a new week so keep going with the power of the Holy Spirit and impact your schools and campuses for Jesus. Share the love of God because love is the only solution if you want to see a revolution.
It's doesn't take talented people that can preach about the gospel or people that know everything in the Bible to share the love of God. God will use people that are willing instead of people that are able and He uses ordinary people to do great things for Him.

1 Corinthians 1:26-31

26Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29so that no one may boast before him.

I'm sure everybody knows about the story of Jesus feeding 5000 people with five loaves of bread and two fishes. It wasn't Philip nor Andrew who provided the five loaves of bread and two fishes but it was the boy who was nameless. The boy gave up his lunch and surrender to Jesus rather than to have it his own way. In the end, Jesus used what the boy had and fed everybody.
We have to have the mentality like that boy who gave up his lunch. The boy was just an ordinary person and Jesus use what the boy gave up for God's glory. He can make the ordinary EXTRAordinary! We just need to be willing to do things and God will use you for His plans. We can make an impact in our schools and campuses if we are willing to trust God and see Him work.

Remember, we are all special in the eyes of God and He don't differentiate us for our skills, talents and positions. If we are willing, He is willing. So trust God and depend not on your own wisdom but on the power of the Holy Spirit for guidance as you are doing Recess Revolution. Keep up with what you are all doing and continue to be the revolution!

RE-EVOLVERS @ Georgetown Baptist Church, Penang!‏

We praise God for a second church which has opened up its doors to us to share about Recess Revo. We want to thank Ps. Daniel for inviting us to share to his youth group. It’s nice to see some of the youth, which are from those schools that we have attended, were present.

Wilson and I shared on Recess Revo and encouraged them to kick start Reces Revo in their schools, campuses and colleges. I believe in my spirit that they have caught whole of the wildfire that is moving in schools today.

After the youth meeting was over, we managed to talk to some of them who wanted to start Recess Revo in their schools. I also had the opportunity of meeting with a youth leader from Fettes Park Baptist Church and she invited me to share about Recess Revo to her youth group next month.

I praise God seeing how He connects and bring people to us, so that we could go in and share about the move of the Holy Spirit. All glory goes to Jesus!

Recess Revo in Penang Free School!

I want to praise God for Joyce who started Recess Revo in Penang Free School (PFS) after Ps. Andy shared in her church (FGA) about a month ago. But today through her contact, we managed to talk to her CF president, Benedict. So, we went in to the school to share about Recess Revo to the CF.

I could see that this group of students was such a crazy bunch who is passionate about Jesus. They have so much passion burning within them as I see their faces during the sharing session before our team shared about Recess Revo. Praise God for a great turnout to hear about Recess Revo! Praise God for Mr. Lim, the CF teacher advisor who encouraged them to run Recess Revo in their school and co-operate it alongside with the CF.

As usual, we prayed for PFS and claimed the school grounds for Jesus. We believe that this school will catch the fire and the school will transform for Him, Amen!

"School Of Tomorrow" (Pinang ACE Home School) open up its doors to Recess Revo!

We want to praise God for another private school ‘School Of Tomorrow’ (Pinang ACE Home School) opening up its doors to Recess Revo. I sincerely thank Daniel Yee for inviting us to share about Recess Revo in his school.

We had about 21 students who attended the talk. Me and Darren shared to all of them on Recess Revo. We praise God that many of the students were very excited about it and the feedback was they see it as a good tool to speak out to their non-Christian friends. It was also a good opportunity to meet up with some youths that Darren and I are acquainted with.

After the whole presentation was over, I prayed for them that God will use them mightily to share God’s Love & Word to their friends. They have decided to do carry out Recess Revo every Monday beginning from next week. I give all glory to Jesus for this school which has signed up for Recess Revo. Praise God!

Shadrach, Meshach & Abed-Nego from Heng Ee School!‏

Today I met the 3 great men who stood up, passionately praying for their school. I and Darren were at Heng Ee School at 1 pm this afternoon. As we were waiting in the school grounds, we started praying for the school. After praying for almost half an hour, we were waiting at the basketball court opposite the school when Julian Saik gave me a ring, telling me that they are ready. I picked him up and two of his friends, and headed to a nearby McD in Greenlane to talk about Recess Revo. We couldn't’t do it in their school, simply because the school rules do not permit outsiders meeting the students in school without any platform. Julian then introduced us to his friends, John Wong and Danial Guan.

Upon reaching McD, we began to introduce ourselves to one another and started talking about Recess Revo over lunch. I began to share the presentation followed by Darren, and I could see the 3 boys were getting excited about Recess Revo.

In the beginning for 3 weeks, Julian was the only one praying for his school after I shared to him about Recess Revo. As he began to ask God for Christian friends to join him in prayer, God brought John and Danial. The number from one person, it grew up to 3 and today there are 5 of them praying together every Monday and Thursday in school. They have already started it last week. Julian will be the one leading this Recess Revo in Heng Ee School officially from today onwards.

As I began to share with them, the boys began to share their testimonies of how God brought them together and how close they are since they began praying together. Suddenly, the Lord reminded me of the 3 great Hebrew men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego who stood firm for Jesus. And I strongly believe in my heart that this will be the 3 warriors moving the school for Jesus with others who will be coming alongside.

As I was driving them back home, I kept encouraging the boys to keep the fire they have caught and maintain it burning within them, and also not to be discouraged even though they are in a school where there is a lot of opposition going on. I and Darren prayed for three of them and surrendered Heng Ee School to Jesus. We officially kick started Recess Revo in their school today. We praise God for another school that has opened up its doors and signed up for Recess Revo. All glory goes to God!

Thank You WIN for Praying for Re-Evolve Crew!

We want to thank Sister Joanna Yun for inviting us to WIN (Women Intercessors Network) of Penang at Amazing Grace Church to share what God is doing in schools around Penang in regards to Recess Revo.

It was an evening of worship where we worshipped God and we felt His presence so strongly. After the worship was over, Ps. Shirley handed over the time to me to share about Recess Revo. So, Darren and myself shared about what God is doing in many schools in Penang, and together with the Re-Evolve crew, was there to share to the whole group of people who attended that evening.

After the presentation, Ps. Shirley mentioned that she felt strongly in her spirit to pray and cover for us. We were then asked to come forward and they surrounded us to pray and cover for us. So many words of encouragement and affirmation were released with regards to Recess Revo.

As Ps. Shirley was praying over the Re-Evolve crew, I saw the map of Penang Island and there was a huge fireball hitting the island. Again in m spirit, the Lord affirmed that He is rising up the youth generation for revival to take place. We were immensely blessed and encouraged and charged up too that night. We want to thank the WIN (Women Intercessors Network) of Penang for praying and covering for us.

KDU Penang First To Start Campus Revo!

KDU was the first college to invite us to share on Recess Revo! As the Re-Evolve crew entered into KDU, we felt strongly in our spirits to pray for this ground as God is going to do something great in this college.

I met up with one of the lecturers of the college who is also the facilitator of the CF, Brother Ronald. We shared to him first all about Recess Revo before we met with the cf group. I want to praise God for 20 young people who attended the session to hear about Recess Revo. Darren and I shared to the team that we could see the excitement in their faces as they listened about what God is doing in schools throughout Penang. And I strongly believe in my heart that they have caught whole of the fire.
After the presentation was over, Brother Ronald encouraged the CF to begin Campus Revo in KDU. They have marked their calendars every Monday to come together for prayer. We want to praise God for KDU for being the first college to start Campus Revo in Penang. All glory goes to Jesus!

Chung Ling High School Penang for Jesus!

Chung Ling, Chung Ling, Chung Ling...Jesus loves you guys so much! I want to thank God for this one particular guy who has been praying and wanting to see the school change. And I want to thank Joshua Lim, for the passion he has. Through him, we had the opportunity to go into his school and share about Recess Revo to his CF members. The total attendance was 37 students together with the Re-Evolve crew that morning. Pn. Poh, the cf teacher advisor was present too.

The session started off with worship and then I shared about Recess Revo with Darren. After we finished sharing, I went on with my message entitled ‘PCF’. P stands for passion, C for commitment and F for faith. The young people must have the passion for their school, to be committed about Recess Revo and to do it by faith in the Holy Spirit. Praise God for the 20 students who signed up after that for Recess Revo with Joshua.

There will be two teams anchoring Recess Revo in CLHS. Joshua will lead one team while the other will be led by Qing Ling. They are very excited to see what God is going to do in their school.

As usual, the Re-Evolve crew stood in the gap and prayed for CLHS, claiming the school for Jesus before leaving the school ground. We know that God is going to move mightily in CLHS. Hallelujah!
