Recess Revo Updates #9

Dear Campus Revolutionaries,

The Malaysian Federal Constitution, Article 11 (1) states that :
“Every person has the right to profess (to declare, teach and affirm in public) and practice his religion (meet to pray, worship, carry out acts stated in holy texts or doctrine) and, subject to Clause (4), to propagate it (preach, evangelise, invite to participate).”

And if you must know, Clause (4) is the law which limits our right to share the gospel to Muslims.

Did you know that the above 19-word sentence guarantees your right as a Malaysian student to start Campus Revolution groups in every campus and every state of Malaysia? This means that no single college adminstration, university administration, student council, police officer, army personnel, vice-chancellor, dean, lecturer, security guard, not even the Prime Minister himself can stop/ hinder/ ban and restrict any single one of you from doing Campus.

Do you know that if anyone so as much threatens action against you when you meet to pray for one another, intercede for your campus or be led by the Holy Spirit to bless your school and friends, they are already on the wrong side of law? In other words, every Campus Revolutionary is sanctioned and protected by the most supreme law in Malaysia to do Campus Revo. No one in the face of this country can rob that right from you. And if that's not enough, guess what? The creator of the heavens and the earth, Yahweh, Jesus, Holy Spirit - God Himself is on your side.

So if there is no way for the authorities, campus or otherwise, to stop you from glorifying God from Monday to Friday; my prayer is that you won’t allow other things like indiscipline, exams, laziness, peer-pressure, fear and your flesh stop you from gaining ground for God.

In Galatians 6:9 (New King James Version) reads:
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

While, Joshua 1:9 (New Living Translation) reads :
“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

So never allow yourself to give in to excuses and know that you’re not alone. We are all in this together to win our generation over.

So, what are you waiting for? Go out there and do great exploits for God! :-)

*This post was taken from www.ufo.org.my and I hope this will serve as an encouragement for everyone of you out there. This is not only for Campus Revo but it's for Recess Revo, Revo@Work, etc. Most importantly, i's for those who wants to see a change taking place in their schools and campuses. Remember, God is on your side when you Show Up, Stand Up & Speak Up for His glory.

Running for the Nation!

The Re-EVOLver Crew was part of the RunNat event that took place last Saturday. Run For The Nation or RunNat is a single morning running event that sees Christians praying as they run throughout selected areas in the city or town where the event is held. The Runners are grouped into teams of three and each Team is required to cover a 5km run of a preselected route passing by homes, schools, commercial areas, government buildings, religious sites and other places of interest.
As the Team runs, one will lead in prayer while the other two will agree. With the aim to cover most grounds, the run adopts the relay style by using Prayer Cards in replacement of batons. RunNat 2009 is a nationwide event involving all 14 state capitals in the country. The Prayer Run was held simultaneously throughout the country with the guidance and leadership of each state’s RunNat Committee.

We (Darren, Wilson and Kai Wen) formed our own group and their team manager was Pragas. We had a good time of running and praying for many issues concerning our nation. As mentioned above, we prayed for the community, schools, government body, etc. We managed to finish the 5km run and we are looking forward for the 10km run next year. May a revolution take place through this event.

First Recess Revo in an International School!

Recently, we were in Dalat International School to share about Recess Revo. Thank God for this open door and we were excited to share in this school because Recess Revo has already kick-started when Zachary who was previously from St.Christopher's International Primary School moved to Dalat. He and his brother, Jonathan managed to gather a group of Christians consisting of the 6th graders and 7th graders and we were so encouraged to meet up with all of them. They actually have a room for their activities and a flyer to invite their friends to join them.
One of the testimonies is that they have been consistently having their prayer group since and it grew from 3 to 29 people! That's a big growth and we believe that they will make a big impact in Dalat International School through prayer and Recess Revo.

Our mission was to share more about the vision of Recess Revo to them and we had a short session with the Recess Revo members during their lunch break. Around 20 students attended the session and we had 30 minutes to share everything to them. As we share to them, we believe that they had caught the fire and understand more about Show Up, Stand Up & Speak Up. We challenged them to be different from the other students in their school and to be a positive influence because they portray the image of Jesus.

Also, Dalat International School is actually a missionary school and we pray that these students will be able to reach out to more of their friends. We believe that a revolution will take place in Dalat International School and both the students and ourselves are excited for a positive change to take place. May the fire continue to burn in them and make a difference in this school.

Recess Revo Updates #8

It has been two weeks and we've seen many more salvation and great testimonies in schools. We had 7 salvation as Pragas spoke at Convent Light Street last Monday. God is also opening doors for us to share in campuses and we've been to INTI Penang and AIMST University, Sungai Petani in the past two weeks. We will be going back to AIMST soon to share more about Campus Revo to the students.
SEGI Revo has also started and we are working with them for their big project now that is to organize a SEGI Revo Christmas P.A.R.T.Y this coming December. It's going to be the first Christian event organized in the campus itself and we are praying that a revolution will take place.

We also had the opportunity to share in Ipoh again after Ming Chen invited us back there when he caught the fire the last time we shared to 10 leaders from different schools. He and Abel, the president of ISCF gathered 7 schools together this time and we managed to share Recess Revo to all the 22 students from 7 different schools. At the end of the session, 5 schools signed up and we pray that many more will come to know about this movement. We want to see a revolution taking place in Ipoh as well!

The exam period is drawing near as the PMR examination will begin this week and the end year examinations will follow after that. Remember, SPEAK UP and DO NOT CHEAT in your exam. :)
The vision of Show Up, Stand Up & Speak Up must be with us all the time and not only when we are praying together and doing random act of kindness in schools and campuses. We are the salt and light for Jesus so remember to shine wherever you are. If you do your part to study and trust & depend on God, He will do the rest for you. Psalm 2:12 says, "Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him".

The Revolution has Begun in Ipoh!

We thank God for another open door to share Recess Revo and this time, it's in Ipoh. We were there 2 months ago to share to 10 leaders and one of them, Ming Sheng has caught the fire and he gathered 7 schools together this time. All these schools are actually under the Inter-School Christian Fellowship (ISCF) which organizes a combine CF twice a month. Abel, a student from SMK Anderson is leading ISCF and he himself had caught the fire even before we went to Ipoh to share to them. We met at Elim Gospel Hall and there were 22 students from 7 different schools in Ipoh.

We shared to them about what is happening through this movement in Penang & Malaysia and they were excited about it. We believe all the testimonies were a big encouragement to them and we challenged them to bring a change to Ipoh as well. At the end of the session, 5 schools signed up for Recess Revo while the other 2 are still pending as they want to discuss it with their leaders.

From this trip, we believe that something is going to take place in Ipoh through Recess Revo and we pray that many more schools will come to know about this movement. May they bring a revolution to their schools and impact their fellow peers & teachers. We praise God for this fruitful trip and we are hoping to be visiting Ipoh again soon in the future as we are following up with them. All glory goes to God and let's pray that the revolution will continue to spread in this town!

SEGI CF now known as SEGI Revo!

We want to praise God that SEGI CF is now known as SEGI Revo! They have decided to be recognized as SEGI Revo instead of SEGI CF and we are doing Project Mordecai with them. Currently, we are mentoring them in planning and constructing the CF as this is the first time that a Christian group is formed in this campus. We even had the opportunity to meet up with the principal of SEGI Penang, Mr.Jeffrey and he is very supportive. We have also planned together with them to organize a Christmas event this coming December in the campus itself.
Do keep us & SEGI Revo in prayer as we believe that a change will take place in this campus. More updates coming up soon!

AIMST for Jesus!

Last Monday, I(Pragas) had the chance to visit AIMST University in Sungai Petani, Kedah together with Pr.Victor & Kelly Wong from Kluang. It was a fruitful trip as I managed to meet up with some of the CF leaders and members and most of all, to meet up with the Campus Revo team which consist of Jo Rim & Chien Win. We met up for coffee and they took me on a tour around the campus together with Cassandra who is actually Pr.Victor & Kelly's god-daugther.

They showed me the place where they meet for CF every Wednesday night and it was in a small church building 5km away from the campus. I was so encouraged to hear about the Campus Revo movement in AIMST University. Initially, they plan to meet once a week for prayer but they finally decided to pray every morning before their class to see God moving in their campus. Although they were the only 2 person praying for the campus, they are faithful and they believe that a revolution will begin in their campus as well.

Besides that, they shared about the need for their CF and I was so excited about it. For now, Re-EVOLve is planning to support the CF in AIMST University and to meet with the leaders again soon to discuss how can we support them. We believe that God will open a door for a change to begin in the campus and we want to see the students' life changed.
